With two related majors in undergraduate study and a M.S. degree, I have accumulated 7 years experience in media.

With two majors, Journalism and Digital Media Design, in my undergraduate, I was thirsty to learn the ability of telling an engaging story no matter if it is a series of photos or a 30 minute documentary. Therefore, I have completed various courses and internships, which were incredibly nurturing and enables me to develop various skills, like design, reporting and photography, whilst gaining insights into the ways creative industries works.
Due to this huge passion for media, I chose to study in the M.S. program in Telecommunications. It was a stepping-stone to, building on my existing abilities and emboldening me to take the leap and make a beautiful transition.

User Interface (UI) Design is one of the most important parts in HCI design, which focuses on anticipating what users might need to do and ensuring that the interface has elements that are easy to use. UI design also has strong connections to media design, from sharing same design principles to utilizing common software.
User Experience (UX) is a continuum that begins with UX research and ends with UI design. The research part of the UX is defined as an action where we investigate something systematically. As in those UX research, I applied methods I learned in Z516 and T502.
Responsive web design is a new kind of web format that responds to the needs of the users and the devices they’re using. The layout changes based on the size and capabilities of the device.
It takes little more than a cursory glance at the creative industry to note the overwhelming trend toward digital technology. Young professionals capable of coding and programming represent the vanguard of new media industry.
With this in mind, I have taken an one-year long programming course in Indiana University, gaining proficiency in multiple programming languages: Python, Java, C#, PHP, HTML/CSS, MySQL.

Prof. Herber’s T580 Interactive Storytelling and Game Design covered design concepts and prototypes of interactive media, which provided me with completely new set of design thoughts.
